Malaysian Plane Crash - Will we Ever Know the Truth?

Nearly 300 people are presumed dead after a Malaysia Airlines jet crashed in Ukraine on July 17th. The crashed plane was the same model as the Malaysia Airlines MH370 flight, which disappeared while travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing in March and is still yet to be found

It's thought that the plane was hit by a surface to air missile, but the Ukrainian authorities and pro-Russian separatists are both blaming each other of shooting the plane down. It's hope that the pattern of debris will unveil clues as to how the plane came down and if the black boxes can be recovered it's hoped that they too will hold some answers.

It's expected to be a complex investigation involving many nations uniting to find answers. David Cameron has called it a 'horrific incident' and Barack Obama said 'The United States will offer any assistance we can to help determine what happened and why.'

Among the many dead were Newcastle United fans, a former BBC journalist who was among dozens of delegates who were on their way to an international AIDS conference and over a hundred of those who died were from the Netherlands.

It is most definitely a tragedy on a national scale and the human impact is already clear with many grieving families and nations, but the political impact this will have especially between Russia and Ukraine is yet to be found out.

Will we ever find the answers, or will it be pushed to the back of people's minds like the doomed MH370 flight?

This was an article I wrote, but I wanted to share it on here too.

Abi :)
